Association for Children with Life-Threatening conditions

ACT is the only national organisation working to improve care and services for all children in the UK with life-threatening or terminal conditions and their families. Our work is needed because there are over 14,000 affected children in the UK and many families are struggling with little or no support.
Registered in 1993, ACT has found that all families have similar needs although their children have a wide range of life-threatening conditions. We believe that they should all have equal access to palliative care, wherever they live and whatever their illness.

Children with Leukaemia Trust

CWLT was established in December of 1991 in order to help relieve the financial burden of bone marrow testing and transplants. Founded in the memory of a young child with leukaemia who faced difficulties finding a suitable donor, the charity has gone from strength to strength and helped double the size of the bone marrow donor register

Cornwall Leukaemia Trust

Cornwall Leukaemia Trust was founded in 1981 to help patients with leukaemia and allied disorders in Cornwall.
About 250 new patients with these diseases are seen in the Haematology Department at Treliske Hospital each year.
Without the support of the Trust, this would not have been possible.

Jennie's Page about Leukaemia

Since a lot of people now ask me questions about the nature of my partner Donald's illness, what it involves and how it can be treated, I've created this to help provide an explanation. The term 'leukaemia' refers to any cancer of the lymphatic system, of which there are several. Donald has acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, so that's what I'll be discussing here.
