<-- Go BackFife - Scottish Vintage Bus Museum
Museum Site and Buildings are all on the level, so are easily accessible for those with mobility impairment/wheelchairs.
There are Disabled Toilets adjacent to the Exhibition Hall and in our Clubhouse.
Disabled parking ie close to facilities can be arranged.
The Museum shop is not accessible by wheelchairs, but we can offer assistance with shopping (personal shopper!).
Obviously, due to their design, our historic buses when on display are not easily accessible, but as many exhibits are privately owned, we do not permit public entry in any case.
The vintage bus tours around the site are generally not 'accessible', but depending on the nature of individual disabilities, we can often enable these visitors to participate.
If visitors arrive in an adapted vehicle, we
can do the tour in it rather than one of our own.
The late 1970s and early 1980s saw a build-up of vehicles for preservation in Scotland and these were stored in farms, bus depots, etc. An initial approach to preservationists about a combined storage/museum set-up was met with a favourable response - until then they had been working in small groups or on their own - and the hunt was on for suitable premises.
