The Clive Bar and Restaurant with Rooms is
a unique blend of traditional and contemporary. Originally a farmhouse, the main building has been developed so as to retain the original features of the Clive Bar alongside the more minimal approach in the restaurant 'areas'.
All 15 bedrooms are situated in period outbuildings that have been tastefully converted
to provide contemporary styled accommodation. The Boardroom, a conference or meeting room
is situated in the same area.
Restaurant and Main Building:
Both Restaurant and Bar all on one level
The Clive Restaurant is renowned for superb modern British cuisine and has been awarded two AA rosettes as well as entries in the Good Food Guide and the Michelin Guide. Emphasis is on the use of fresh produce ranging from local meats, smoked products and vegetables to fresh Cornish fish.
Almost everything we serve is made in our kitchen.
A separate Menu is served on Sunday lunch times to include a roast of the day.
Our wine list of some 70 bins offers much from the New World as well as some of the old favourites. Emphasis is on quality wine priced under £20 per bottle
The 'Clive Arms' Bar with adjoining Courtyard provides a comfortable non smoking area to enjoy local traditional ales, a wide range of wine by the glass and light snacks. It separates into two sections, an 18th Century lounge area in traditional style with log fire and featuring the original coat of arms of Clive of India who has close connections with the village of Bromfield. A more contemporary upper area leads to an outside courtyard with tables and parasols for the warmer months.
Traditional Hobsons ale from nearby Cleobury Mortimer, Organic Cider and Apple Juice from Pembridge, Mineral water from the Wenlock Edge and Wine and Apple Brandy from Herefordshire are some of the local delights in store together with a full range of draught and bottled products.
There are 8 wines by the glass these are served in two different sizes, including a dessert wine and champagne.
Our full list of wines is also available by the bottle.
Food is available at various times throughout the day.
